Transcript Maker now supports semesters

Support for semesters has been one of the most requested features in Transcript Maker, and as of this week it’s here. Everyone with a Transcript Maker account can use it right away.

Organize your transcript by semester

Until now, Transcript Maker could organize a transcript two ways: by school year (freshman, sophomore, and so on) or by subject (math, English, science). That works well for most colleges and universities, but some prefer to see high school coursework laid out by semester, like Fall 2015 and Spring 2016.

Now any transcript built with Transcript Maker can be ordered by semester instead. Pick the semester each course was taken, switch the transcript to semester order, and Transcript Maker groups the courses for you. It takes about two minutes to set up.

Custom credit hours for every course

Not every course is worth a full credit. A one-semester elective might count for half a credit, and a college course taken through dual enrollment often comes with its own credit value. Transcript Maker now lets you enter custom credit hours for each course, so your transcript and GPA reflect exactly what your student earned.

A new help center

We’ve also opened a new help center at support.transcriptmaker.com. You’ll find answers to common questions about building a transcript, and if you get stuck you can send us a question right from there.

Coming next: numerical grades

With semesters out the door, our next big priority for 2016 is support for numerical grades, so you can record a 93 instead of an A when that’s how your student was graded. If you’ve been waiting for it, stay tuned.
